Patriots Moreton Bay Social Ride

Sunday - The club had a social ride on, the early morning weather looked good, but this soon changed on our ride out to the clubrooms, overcast and possible rain!?

Not sure if this caused the poor turn up, but when Kirst & I got there, we were 1 of only 4 bikes & 2 of 6 people at the clubrooms!?

Leaving the clubrooms, we headed out to the Bruce Highway via Deception Bay, up and on to the new Caboolture Bypass which took us on to the D'Aguilar Hwy, then,

Smooth running through, D'Aguilar, Woodford, Kilcoy, Blackbutt and in to Yarraman to Meet Wazza, Di and Pancho who had ridden down from Toowoomba. What a great run so far!?

We had a short stop and grabbed a coffee, even if it was Milked' down and full of 'hot' 'hot' water, It's a funny sort of Brew that they make!?

Anyway, back on the bikes and on and up the D'Aguilar Hwy again, running through Nanango and in to Kingaroy. It was a nice short ride, Kid then led us to the RSL where we kicked back and enjoyed a great feed!

We then all headed across to an Army Disposal store in the Main St, but missed having a look around as it had only closed minutes before. We could all see through the windows that this place required another visit!? It had some great memories in there!?

After hanging out for a bit we then got back on the bikes, fueled up and met at the Freedom Servo, just on the edge of town, we said our goodbyes to Wazza, Di and Pancho as they were heading straight home.

We then headed back home the same way we had arrived, the road was a lot rougher heading home, kid and Viv caught a few pot holes which nearly saw them launched off their seats and there was one that Kid hit that appeared to be so deep, that all we could see of him was his shiny melon as he went through it.

Big run back, with a much needed but quick pit/bum stop at Kilcoy and then continued on our way back to the clubrooms for a cuppa or beer to debrief, And rest the bums of those that had suffered!?!? Hey Kirst?

What a great day it was !!! A 'Big Thanks to Kid' for taking us out on a very enjoyable cruise, even if it was a big one, but then again, that's just the way I like em' and the best part was, none of us got wet!? I don't know how we did it but we all managed to miss the rain showers throughout the day! Thanks Mate!!!
